Why Become A Member of Congregation Agudath Sholom?

Our growing Congregation welcomes new members and encourages current members to maintain their membership in good standing. In the words of a Jewish proverb, we seek not to lighten our burdens but to broaden our shoulders. Together we strengthen each other and expand our impact on our community, the Jewish people and the world.
While our daily and Shabbat services are open to all, membership in our Congregation offers benefits.

Our synagogue offers an extensive range of services, classes, and programs enriching the lives and inspiring families of all ages.

Membership: Join our CAS Family!

Your membership in good standing allows the following benefits:

  • Benefit from CAS Clergy
Our Rabbis officiate at members' life cycle events.  Members receive spiritual and pastoral counseling from our clergy
  • Participate in the CAS Community:
Members can sponsor kiddushes, celebrate simchas (including Bar & Bat Mitzvahs), and receive aliyahs and honors in our Services

Patron members can reserve High Holiday seats and maintain their pew ownership

Members can arrange for the children (from tiny tots to teens) to participate in our extensive youth programs
  • Use CAS Facilities:
Members receive a special discounted rate for renting our facilities

Special consideration for burial in our three cemeteries
  • Participate in CAS Governance
Members can serve on our Board to help guide the synagogue into the future

Members can chair Committees for key projects - including our Youth Programs

Members can vote at our Annual Meeting

Dues are an important part of our budget, accounting for over half our annual revenue. We are grateful for those members who support our Congregation and work hard to recognize their support in many ways throughout the year.
Please note: Our Bylaws state that to maintain your Membership in Good Standing, you must pay your annual dues by December 31 of each calendar year. We welcome all families as members regardless of financial ability.

If you would like to discuss a financial arrangement to maintain your Membership in Good Standing, please contact our Director of Operations, Matt Feinberg
